Neue Sonny Landreth Fan-Gruppe bei Myspace

Moin,

ich habe gestern bei Myspace eine neue Fan-Gruppe für Sonny Landreth eingerichtet, den ja wahrscheinlich einige hier auch kennen. Wieso, weshalb, warum steht alles im englischen Einleitungstext:

Hi, I've just created a new Sonny Landreth fan group on Myspace so you can join there and also invite other Myspace users to that group if you click on "Add to group" on their profiles. By the way, you can also upload pictures to that group, so go ahead and post your best Sonny Landreth shots there as well (max. file size 600k each).

Up to now there is no official Sonny Landreth profile on Myspace, the only existing page has been created by an unknown fan who has abandoned it in 2006, only a few months after starting it. So interested musicians and fans have no place on Myspace to look for current infos on Sonny Landreth or send friend requests etc.

This situation might change in the future if Sonny's management creates an official Myspace profile, but independent from that option I thought it would be a good idea to create a fan group in the meantime.

Last but not least Sonny's official homepage has a lot to offer as well, e.g. the "Lagniappe" section with rare live recordings, explanations of slide tunings etc. I also took the group picture from that site, it was made by Jack Spencer.

magst Du mir mal den Sinn und Zweck einer myspace-Fangruppe erläutern?

Ich bin da vielleicht komisch, aber ich verstehe die Idee dahinter nicht...

Besser wäre natürlich ein offizielles Myspace-Profil vom Management, aber gerade da hakt es leider im Moment, deshalb wenigstens eine Gruppe bzw. ein Forum, wo sich Fans und interessierte Musiker auf Myspace austauschen können - z.B. über die brandneue CD "From the reach" oder die aktuellen Tourdaten.

In USA ist sie wie gesagt seit dem 19.5. erhältlich, deshalb gibt es auch schon Reviews in den Fan-Foren, die ich in der Myspace-Gruppe aufgelistet habe.

Mir gefällt "Blue Tarp Blues" gut wegen dem furzigen Paula-Sound von Mark Knopfler, den er schon bei "Money for nothing" hatte.

Übrigens kleines Update in Sachen Myspace-Profil: Heute wurde das veraltete und seit 2006 nicht gepflegte Sonny Landreth-Profil von Myspace gelöscht, wahrscheinlich auf Anfrage von seinem Management. Also wird's wohl bald eine offizielle Seite dort geben.

Ach so, noch was zu den Einladungen in die Gruppe, die ich gerade verschicke: Das ist bei Myspace etwas mühselig, weil man immer nur 40er Blöcke der eigenen Freunde aufrufen kann und beim nächsten Versuch schon vergessen hat, wo man das letzte Mal aufgehört hatte. Wenn ich also jemanden aus diesem Forum übersehen sollte, liegt es wirklich nur daran... ;-)
