ROMANIA
Harry was born a travelling man
Between a ferris wheel and a carousel
Towns flew by as Harry grew up
Sometimes he would have loved to stop
Then came a day Harry tried to settle down
With a hammer and a nail in quiet and peaceful town
He found a wife, they got two kids
But there was something that he missed
Houses and fences he’d build with his hands
And roads and bridges that would lead him one day
To Romania
When Harry came here no one could tell his age
But he had scars from his roving days
When Harry laughed, the walls would shake
After each of his tales
Houses and fences he’d build with his hands…
In Romania his soul would rest
In Romania he’d find new friends
And one day he would never talk again
About Romania
Dead Harry was found on the floor of his flat
And by his side his faithful bottled friend
Some things you can’t fix, some things you cannot mend
Sometimes there is no second chance
Houses and fences he’d build with his hands…
